Charles is the minister of music at Thomas Road Baptist Church in Lynchburg, Virginia. His incredible voice and presence inspires us in God's name.

Charles' accomplished career has included a two-year tenure as lead vocalist for the award-winning vocal group Newsong, and a lengthy list of solo performances (over 2500 concerts) across the nation and beyond. It also includes many recording projects, six #1 singles (four with Newsong) and two DVD projects. With such a musical history to his credit, it hardly seems right to say he's "just getting started." But that's exactly how Charles feels. "We have so many projects and concerts right now...I am as excited as the day I started fourteen years ago!"

"Encouraged" is a word heard often after an evening with Charles Billingsley in concert. Audiences of all ages enjoy the fun, yet poignant thoughts that come across in his time with people. Some people laugh, some cry, but all feel the deeper message behind hs music and desire to have a stronger connection to God.

From 2002 until May 2005, Charles and his family resided in Lynchburg, VA, working with Dr. Jerry Falwell. While in Lynchburg, Charles served as Worship Pastor for Thomas Road Baptist Church and as the artist-in-residence at Liberty University. As part of his tenure at Liberty, Charles spent time leading worship with Liberty's 10,000 college students each week, and facilitating the school's Worship Degree.

In February 2005, Charles felt God calling him to California, and in May, Charles, his wife Shae, and their two boys, Caleb (6) and Cooper (5) made the big move. Charles relocated his concert ministry to San Diego, CA, and teamed up with Dr. David Jeremiah, the outreach of Turning Point, Shadow Mountain Community Church, San Diego Christian College, and Southern California Seminary.

In 2006, Charles and his family returned to Lychburg, VA and Thomas Road Bapist Church where he continues his concert and worship ministry.

Charles has just completed a project called "Enduring Treasures." It is a creative and powerful mix of eleven beloved hymns. Next on the horizon comes a Christmas record that will be featured in Kroger grocery stores.

Times are busy for Charles Billingsley and his team, but that is just the way Charles likes it. "We are blessed to have so many opportunities, but most important to all of us is to stay closely connected to the Lord and clean before him. He is the source of our hope, the love we know, and our music."
